Grayson 1 Month

It has already been 1 month since our little miracle came into this world.

This month has been such a whirlwind and yet it is hard to believe it has only been a month since I gave birth.

Grayson Brooks {G-Brooks as we call him} is an entire month old and here is what we have learned about him in this month:

He LOVES his paci and although he doesn't need it, he does love the comfort it brings.

He LOVES his Mama and is usually much more content in my arms that anyone else.

He has a poop schedule like his big bro did...he basically poops multiple times in a day then waits a few days before he does it again. Totally normal, and so funny that he is just like Camden was.

He has very stinky farts.

He LOVES to nurse and usually eats so fast that he takes in a lot of air and sometimes chokes. We are working on slowing down my milk flow and getting him to adjust a little easier to my strong let down. The past few days have been better, and I can tell he is more comfortable because of less air bubbles in his tummy.

He hated bath time at the beginning of the month, and now he loves it. As soon as he dips into the warm water he is just so relaxed and will let me clean him all up with no fussing.

He is still not a big fan of diaper changes, probably because I do it before or in between a feeding just to get him all stirred up so he will eat really well.

He is a fan of "white noise" when he sleeps. We received one of these adorable giraffe's as a gift and it sits next to his bed and he sleeps much more comfortable with the subtle noise.

He is still sleeping in our room. I was ready to move him into his own room about 2 weeks ago, but then I became a little afraid since he was swallowing so much air and choking when nursing it caused him to spit up more when I would lay him down. I didn't want him that far away from me if he choked on his spit up. Since he is doing better with all of that stuff, we might move him to his room soon. Although I do love the convenience of rolling over, putting him into bed with me while I lay down {aka sleep} and nurse.

He loves to smile and it cracks me up.

He had his first trip to the zoo this month.

Went to church for the first time.

He has only been bullied twice by his big brother.

He loves to snuggle against me in his Moby Wrap.

He loves tummy time and sometimes just falls asleep because he enjoys it so much.

Grayson,

Our sweet little miracle, we just adore you and have enjoyed this entire month with you more than you know. We wouldn't trade the sleepless nights, never ending feedings, dirty diapers, and constant snuggles with you for anything. You have brought us so much joy this month and we look forward to each new day we get to spend with you. The Lord has blessed us with you and we love you times a million.

Love Mama and Dada

He looks just like his dad! Such a cutie...that smile! And I wouldn't be surprised if the white noise thing is because of the NICU. Thoses babies learn to sleep through whatever noise is going on there.
