Grayson 2.5 Weeks

Baby Gray Gray {as Wes calls him} is 2 and a half weeks old.

He brings us nothing but pure joy.

Camden just loves him, is always looking for "baby" or "bro" {his 2 names for him}, and will give him lots of hugs and kisses if we ask him too.

Grayson is just a dream baby. He sleeps like ALL day, only cries when he is hungry or getting his diaper changed, and is perfectly content sleeping just about anywhere. His preferred location is obviously on Mama's chest, but that is not always convenient for me because I have an almost 2 year old to try and keep out of trouble. I would LOVE to snuggle all day long, but I have realized that is only something you can do with 1 child...2 children, a whole different stort.

When he is not sleeping, he loves to lay on his play mat and look all around. He is also a big fan of tummy time and enjoys lifting his head and turning it side to side. I am very impressed by this because Camden never enjoyed being on his tummy and I rarely put him there.

He loves to nurse and gets very upset if I make him wait too long to eat. Thankfully my milk supply is plenty and he will never go hungry. In fact, I have so much that he chokes at least once during a feeding. I really need to tone down the pressure.

At night he sleeps between 3 and 3.5 hour stretches. He is a very quick eater and I am usually only awake with him for 30 minutes total, including a diaper change. That is, again, something I wasn't expecting because Camden would nurse for nearly an hour in the middle of the night.

His umbilical cord FINALLY fell off. This little guy thought it was a souvenir and wanted to hold onto it forever. It fell of when he was 17 days old. Geez! Glad it is finally gone.

Big bro is adjusting as we expected. He gets a little envious of my time with Grayson so I have to be very intentional about giving Camden alone time. He is acting like your typical 2 year old and throws tantrums about anything and everything. He is really hating his nap time, and tells me "No!" to just about every question. He is still a sweet boy and really enjoys helping me with things around the house, but he has discovered his little attitude and has no problem expressing himself. Whew, this new life with 2 is an entire new ball game.

I am feeling great. I am tired, but I can handle that. I have been able to get up with the boys, make breakfast, and even get in a shower the past 3 mornings in a row. Wes leaves early for work and I was so nervous the first morning I was alone with 2 kids. However it ended up being a great morning. We went for a nice walk, shared a great breakfast, and Camden was a wonderful kid for me. Yesterday we hosted a small play date with another friend of mine and Cam did decent. Today I managed to get both boys ready and out of the house by 10. We stopped and picked up my Mom on our way to Hobby Lobby for a little shopping. I am not yet ready to shop on my own! Then we had lunch at Chick Fil A and then came home for naps.

I am so thankful for our adorable family and although the new adjustments aren't always easy, I am just glad to have all 3 boys in my life.
