Dear Camden,
Today you are 4 months old and I can not believe how much you are changing. I was reminiscing the other day about when we brought you home from the hospital, and you don't even look like the same baby. You are now so big, chunky, and just down right adorable. We get excited every morning when we go into your room and see your smiling face just waiting for us to come pick you up. You are such a happy baby, and you just adore your mom and dad.
This morning when I was feeding you, Dad walked in and started talking to you, you stopped eating and just turned to give him huge smiles. You know our voices and love to give us your attention. Here are some of the things you have been doing this past month:
- We took you swimming for the first time, you didn't love it at first, but you are beginning to get used to it.
- You are starting to roll from your back to your side, but usually you just get stuck on your side and don't try to finish the roll.
- You LOVE to eat your hands and you try to fit as many fingers in as you can.
- Your favorite time to suck on your hands is when I am trying to get you dressed, you love to keep your hand in your mouth so I can not possibly get your arm into your shirts.
- On that note, you love to have your clothes changed. If I get your shirt stuck on your head, you just think it is the funniest thing.
- Bath time is now one of your favorite things. You just lay in there and splash away. Getting out is still your least favorite.
- You started loosing some of your luscious red hair, and it made me so sad. Those few little bald spots make me sad, but Dad keeps reassuring me that it will grow back very soon.
- You discovered your voice, and you take full advantage of the new level at which you can scream. It is not a sad scream, but it is more of a "Can you hear how happy I am" scream.
- We took you on your first trip out of Phoenix...it was only to Prescott for the day, but you did so well.
- You still nurse at every feeding and we are debating if we will start you on rice cereal soon. We think you are getting plenty of nutrition and you don't act like you are still hungry after feedings, so we might wait just a little before starting it.
- You are the BEST sleeper. We have been putting you to bed between 8:30 and 9 every night and you sleep until 6 or 6:30 in the morning. We love this schedule.
- You enjoy your door bouncer and you are really starting to figure out how to jump and push off with your legs.
