Happy Birthday Bay!!

Today my incredible husband turns 23! I am so incredibly blessed that he has been a part of my life for all of those 23 years. I never imagined when we were just kids that someday I would grow up, fall in love, and marry you, Wesley.
So now who do you think Cam looks like?

We grew up as friends, and at one point in our lives, Wesley was even shorter than me! ( I was also stronger, which is why I beat him at arm wrestling when we were 12, but he will never admit it...but it is true) I fell in love with Wesley when we were 16...yes, we started dating at 15, but I was not in love with him until we were 16 and I decided I was going to marry him.

Here we are at 12 years old, obviously we weren't in love...yet!

This picture makes me laugh, because here we were just friends, but Wes obviously wanted to join the family :)

We have been through such an incredible journey together over the years. We dated for nearly 5 years when we got married. In those 5 years I learned so much about Wesley, and I knew that he would make the best husband and father. Well, let’s just say I was right. He is an incredible husband, and he is my best friend. I can’t imagine sharing my life with anyone else. He knows me better than anyone and loves me at all times, and we all know that it can be hard to love at all times. (especially when you are pregnant, thanks schweetie!)
I am impressed every day with how great of a Dad he is to Camden. Wesley had never been much of a baby kind of guy (what guy really is?), but he has always been so great with kids...this gave me so much excitement for when Cam was born. Wesley jumped into his dad position as soon as Camden entered into the world. He stayed with him, checked on him, and Cam even turned to look at Wes the first time Wes talked to him. Ever since he came home, Cam has been his little “Mishter” and I have fallen more in love with Wesley and I watch him love our son.

Wesley is such a motivated man, and I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. He not only applied and got into medical school, but he is excelling so well in school and he already has so much doctoral knowledge. He is the one that everyone comes to with questions about their health, and about 95% of the time, Wesley knows the answer. I know his family, as well as mine, is also very proud of our Wesley, and we can’t wait to see him become a Doctor someday. We know he will make all his patients very comfortable, he just has the right demeanor to be a great doctor. And who knows, he may even be a pediatrician someday...I can’t wait to see what he actually does!

Wesley, I love and adore you so much. You are such a blessing to me, and my life is so much better because I have you. I can’t wait to see what the next 23 years of your life looks like.

I am so proud to be your wife, and to stand by your side through all of life’s trials. You work so hard, and you are so excited to provide for your family (after school is done). Camden is one lucky boy to have you as his Daddy. You hold us all together, and your faith in the Lord is amazing. You are the leader of our home, and you take on that roll with love and protection! Thanks for being the man you are Wesley, and Happy Birthday Schmooks!!

Love,
your adoring wife

Oh, I loved this post! What a great birthday gift to your hubby! I love those photos of you guys when you were babies, and when you were tweens- so adorable. You guys have such a great story. I definitely fell more in love with my husband when I watched him become a father for the first time. And even now, when I see him every day with our kids- a good father is very sexy!
