22 Weeks!!
So this pregnancy just gets to be more and more fun each week. This week we have noticed Camden's movements getting so much stronger. I feel him like all day long, either kicking or just squirming around. He has started getting into weird positions that make my tummy look lopsided. Wesley tries to guess which body parts we are feeling or seeing. It is so fun! And today my tummy has been lopsided and pointy, I think he is pushing his bum out. And he just started another fun game...it is called "kick mommy's bladder". Right now when he does it, it totally tickles and gives me the sensation that I have to pee, but I can usually wait. I am sure later on when I am huge, those kicks might make me run to the bathroom! Everything else has been so easy. I finally have a small collection of maternity clothes, so I think my complaining about clothes not fitting is over....for now! I am eating pretty normal these days, not as many cravings, and typically I eat normal portions. Although today I ate 2 waffles on my way to work (don't worry, there was no sticky syrup while driving, I eat them dry) and as soon as I got to work I was starving again (keep in mind, my drive to work is like 8 minutes). So I waited a little bit hoping those two waffles would settle in and curb my hunger, but no such luck. So I ran out to Einsteins with my $2 Tuesdays coupon and got a yummy pumpkin bagel with pumpkin schmear and a decaf coffee. (yes, all for $2!) That still didn't do the trick! But I waited until lunch time before I ate again, and even after that I was not full. I think if there was continuous food in front of me, I could have eaten it all day. Right now I still feel like I could be eating. Thankfully I have self control. My brain is telling me to eat eat eat, but my thighs are remembering the good ol days when I wore a size 0, so that is outweighing the brain!
Anyways...we have our next Dr. appt on Thursday, and I am not sure what will happen at this appt. I don't think we will get another ultrasound :( But I am sure we will listen to Camden's heartbeat, which is pretty fun also.
So this weekend we had some fun with friends and family. We had two pumpkin carving parties...one with our young marrieds group, and one with our family. I didn't get very good pictures at either event, but here are a few of our pumpkins.
We made this pumpkin with our young marrieds group. I gave Wes the design ideas, and he was the skilled artist who did the actual carving. I think we are a good team, and we made a cute pumpkin!
These are the pumpkins we decorated with the family. It is so sad to see these poor pumpkin faces. My favorite is the small one in front...Mrs. Sandy High is the artist behind this one, she sat and chisled his face for about an hour, and he turned out to be pretty cute! The other ones were done by Wes (the huge one on the right) and his brothers and grandpa. I don't really have words for any of those pumpkins :)
And this is what I was doing while everyone else was carving. I had a yummy plate of homemade apple pie and ice cream. This was the first time I was able to place my plate on my tummy. It was pretty fun to be able to do this. I see it happening more often over the next 18ish weeks!
Thanks for reading!
