This little munchkin is already 4 months old and is changing like crazy.
I am so in love with this little man and I just love to snuggle him, kiss him, smell him, and listen to him say "ah goo" all day long. I never knew my heart could grow as much as it has with having 2 little boys.
This month Grayson has grown like a weed and is doing new things all the time.
He is now rolling over in both directions, which is fun and not fun at the same time. It is cute to see him be able to move himself around, but at the same time it is a huge issue at night time. We can no longer just lay him in his bed and get him out from the same place we left him. He usually starts the night on his back, then rolls to his tummy to sleep, but sometimes wakes up in frustration because he is stuck in a position he doesn't like. This, of course, upsets our night time sleep. He is definitely not the same sleeper that Camden was at this age. He goes to bed between 8 and 8:45, wakes to eat at 4:30, then sleeps until around 7:30. So great! But, as with most things with a new baby, it isn't like this every night. One thing I do with him that I didn't do with Camden is that when he wakes up, I have Wes bring him into bed with me to nurse him. I love the extra snuggles with him, and a lot of times we fall asleep snuggling until the morning. I know this could be a bad habit to start, but I don't think getting extra snuggles in with your baby is ever a bad thing. I know he will sleep through the night soon, and I am going to miss snuggling him, so I am just soaking it up as much as I can.
He is getting a little more consistent with his naps. He takes 2 morning cat naps, around 40 minutes each. Then in the afternoon he naps around 3.5-4 hours. He always naps in his bed, but there are times when Camden is dying to go for a walk, so I just move Grayson from his bed to his stroller and he will continue his nap in there. The good thing about being a second child is that he will adjust to just about anything because he doesn't always have a choice.
He is still eating well. He loves his Mama and will only take a bottle if he has too, but will only drink enough from a bottle to satisfy himself.
He has discovered grasping and bringing things to his mouth. This is such a fun stage! I love giving him a toy or a tag blanket and letting him just play with it. He discovers new things everyday.
He is always moving. He loves to kick. He plays on his play mat and just kicks like crazy. He never stops wiggling around during his diaper changes, which he loves.
He loves when we stand him up on our legs, he is very strong.
He is a total Mama's boy in every sense of the word and just LOVES to be with me. I feel the same about him and I just hate to be away from him.
He talks a ton. The other night I heard him on the monitor around midnight just jabbering away. He says "ah goo" in the cutest little voice. We love his talking.
Camden loves to come talk to him and Grayson responds to him. I am looking forward to the day when Grayson laughs at Camden. They are going to just love playing together soon!
We love our sweet little blue eyed, fair skinned, strawberry blonde boy!! He is so full of joy and I can't imagine our lives with out him!
