Hey there!
Guess what? We are still here, just been a little busy...well, maybe more like lazy, but I like to say I have been busy growing a baby. It is more work than you may think.
I am now 6 months pregnant, and ready for it to be over. Sort of. I am ready to not be pregnant, but I don't think I am quite ready for our new little boy to be here. We are slowly in the process of getting everything in order for his arrival. It is amazing how much we want to get done before a little 7 lb. bundle of joy arrives. He obviously won't need much, but I feel like I need to be over prepared for him.

On top of getting ready for baby boy, we have been enjoying every second of alone time we have with Camden. Realizing we only have a few short months left with just him, we are trying to soak him up as much as possible. He really brings so much joy to our lives! After he past the 17 month mark, he has become so easy! Between 15 and 17 months we felt he was the most difficult. He was desperate for our attention all day long, and was very grouchy because he was getting in 4 teeth at one time. Not to mention, I was in my first trimester of pregnancy, so I was miserable, and Wes was studying non stop for his board exams. I feel like those 2 months we were all just miserable. Ugg. But about a month ago everything seemed to get better. I started feeling great, Wes was done with school, and Camden became a new kid with a full mouth of teeth.
In San Diego on the beach, and yes, he has sand all over his mouth. He was dipping his cracker in the sand before each bite.
To talk more about Camden, he is such a fun kid. I know I have said before that he is all boy, but I am pretty sure that is the best description of him. He is his Daddy's clone, and wants to do anything and everything his Daddy does. When Wes works on his RC cars, Camden wants to be working on them as well. He will sit and watch Wes work for hours. When Wes is busy fixing things with tools, Camden has to have a tool in his hand, and will sit and pretend he is fixing things. It is adorable!
Here are some of Camden's favorites:
His favorite toys right now are cars, anything and everything that has to do with cars. He has 2 bins of toys downstairs, and the only toys he ever pulls out are his cars. One morning I looked over, and he had taken out 6 cars and was driving all of them around.
He loves climbing and jumping...I mean, what little boy doesn't? It is my least favorite thing for him to do. He climbs on the ottoman and jumps off onto the couch, then he will climb on the back of our couch against the wall and stand up and smile. It is ridiculous! Thankfully our home is small and very toddler proof, so I can see him at all times and I know what he is doing.
A big boy ouchy!
He loves watching the movie Cars, over and over again. He will only watch about 10 minutes in one sitting, but he will always want us to put it back on.
He loves to hold our hands when we pray for our meals.
He loves to talk and play in his crib for 30-40 minutes before he falls asleep. We love to listen to him on the monitor as he jabbers away.
He loves talking now, and has some adorable words. Here are the ones I can think of right now. He says Mama, Papa, Nana (for banana and sort of for his actual Nana), no no, ya, Sass (Sassy our dog), nuh (nose), hat, hot, cacka (cracker or snack), nigh nigh (night night), bah (ball), iduhknow (sounds like one word when he says "I don't know"), oh no, eshh (car), up, ap hease (please). Ok, so those are most of his words, he still won't say Dada (poor Wes) and car is still a sound effect. I am actually surprised by all his words once I wrote them all out. Our other favorite thing now is asking him where things are and he always says "iduhknow", even if he knows the answer that is always his immediate reaction.

He is getting so good at following directions. When we ask if he needs a diaper change he will say ya and go get me a diaper and the wipes, lay down, let me change him (most of the time), and then go put everything away. I love it! I also make him get me his shoes, and sometimes make him get me mine. Why not take advantage of someone else doing it for me :)
He has a lot of opinions now. The other night I was getting him out of the bath and I grabbed his yellow towel, he grunted and pointed to his blue towel, so I grabbed it and he reached for me to get him out. Excuse me baby, I didn't know the color of your towel was so important!
He loves his books, and the other day he sat in his glider all by himself and read himself his books.
He loves to throw things, and he laughs every time he throws stuff. See what I mean, all boy!
He loves to give kisses, and also loves blowing kisses and waving at strangers. Great!
I am sure there are a million other things Camden does each day, since he never stops moving, but that is all my brain can remember right now.
There are so many other things I want to blog about. I need to dust off my camera and take some pictures of our home that is constantly changing. We repainted our master bath, closed in our loft to become a baby room, and moved everything around downstairs. I also need a current picture of my belly and a pregnancy update.
My poor blog used to have weekly updates, and I hope to get back to doing that.
And........baby boy #2 has a name!! We will be telling our families this weekend when we see them, so I am hoping to do a baby update and announcement in the next few days. I am sooo thrilled he has a name and we love being able to refer to him as something other than baby boy. And no, begging and pleading with me will not help, I am getting good at keeping secrets! His name is coming soon to a blog near you.
My boys!! Can't wait to have pictures of all 3 of them.
