With another boy on the way, I am well aware of how outnumbered I am. The "boy" in our home is slowly taking over this ultra girly Mom's life. Not only have I moved out house decor to be replaced with toy tool sets and pop guns, but now Wesley's toys have inched their way into the house, and Cam is loving it.
Let me introduce you to Mr. RC car, and his 2 friends, rc car II, rc car III, and coming soon...Mr. RC Helicopter.
Yes, that is 4 to be exact. It started with just 1 little car...or "eshhh" as Camden calls it. Wes would play with it all the time, and Camden would tag along and watch. Then, my Dad gave Wes one of his old cars, and with a little tuning and some extra parts, Wes got that one up and running also.
Well then Wes found a rock crawling car that he had to have. So I told him he could get that one as a special treat for working so hard on his board exams. So now we have 3 of these stupid annoying pointless remote control cars.
Every day when Camden wakes up, I will get him out of bed, change his diaper, and just hang with him a bit. As soon as Wes walks in the room, Cam lights up, says "eshhh" and reaches for Wes. He wants Wes to take him out to the garage to work on or play with these cars.
When in the garage working on the cars, Cam is game face. If I walk out to see what is going on, he whines at me and waves me away. As if to say, go away Mom, this is guy stuff, you don't understand.
So I usually go about my business inside the house, since I honestly don't care about the stupid cars. Ha!
But the best part about these little cars is how much Camden really does love them. He loves watching Wes drive them, but he always wants his turn also. And he should, since he already knows how to drive them!! Not well, he usually just makes them go until they crash, but it is the cutest. He is a very coordinated young kid, and I know he gets it from his extremely coordinated Dad.
Needless to say, I don't understand one bit about remote control cars. I am a girl, I think they are boring, dirty, and a waste of time. But my boys love them, and I love my boys. So I have invested in them, I know how to drive them, I have spent countless hours listening and watching Wes and Cam play with them, and I know this is just the beginning of the boy stuff that I am getting myself into. So if any of you out there need to entertain any of your husbands or sons, bring them over...and us girls can go get pedicures!

Oh my gosh, this is so cute! I love that they are already bonding over guy stuff and Cam is only a year old. Geeze it starts young!
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. It's all my fault. Dad just reminded me that I gave Wes that silly little RC helicopter for Christmas. It awakened his dormant RC bug. You can blame it all on me. That's what Dad said to do!!.
