Updates...round 1

As I am pathetically laying on the couch, icing my sore pregnancy hips, I thought it would be a great time to post some updates on what is going on. It is going to be in no particular order, but updates none the less...

The biggest thing going on right now is that Wes is taking his board exam tomorrow. I know I have mentioned it, but this exam is HUGE for med students. His grade on this exam determines what type of residency he can get into after school. The better the grade, the better opportunities he will have. So be praying for him, please. He has been studying for 7-9 hours every day for the past month since school got out. He is so smart, so dedicated, and so excited about becoming a great doctor someday. He really wants to do well, and I know he will!! His test is tomorrow, and it runs for 8 hours. I can't imagine thinking for 8 hours straight (with a 10 minute break every hour). After tomorrow he has 1 more test the following week. Then he is done!! Well, done with the big part, not done with school.

After the board exams, Wes and I are doing a little staycation to celebrate our anniversary (yes, it was a month ago) since we didn't really get to celebrate because of all his studying. We will also be celebrating the end of the board exam. Yay!!

A week after that, we leave for San Diego to stay in the beach house we stayed in last summer!! I can not wait! I dream of this place all the time, and I am excited for 7 days of rest and relaxation with the fam.

We get back from San Diego on a Saturday, then starting Monday, Wesley begins his clinical rotations for school. Each month he will be following a new doctor, learning the ropes of the specialties they are in. Sometimes he will be in offices, sometimes in a hospital. His first rotation is in a family practice office. A safe place to start.

Something I don't think I have talked about much is where we will be in January. Each student has to do one rotation in a rural location. Wes was chosen to work in Prescott for an entire month. Which means, Wes, Cam, myself and our 5 week old baby boy will be moving up to Prescott for a month. Thankfully, Wesley has an amazing Aunt and Uncle who live in Prescott and have offered to let us live in their home while we are there. It is perfect! They have a lower level of their home with a full kitchen, bathroom, and a few bedrooms. Like our own apartment! The only thing they don't have in their home, is my Mom. But not to worry, I think I can pack her in my luggage...how else would I be able to take care of an almost 2 year old, and a 5 week old all by myself??

Well this post is longer than I expected...so I will write another update about Camden and baby boy in the next post.

I will definitely be keeping Wes in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Staying in Prescott for a month seems like it will be an exciting adventure. And it will be in the winter, so maybe you guys will actually get to experience a good amount of snow. I bet Cam would love that!

Hey Prescott really isn't that far. Quick enough to make a day trip and come visit you and the boys! You'll be okay, I'll come up and help you! We'll both really have our hands full but it's definitely better to do it with company :)
