Dear Camden,
My sweet boy, you are already 8 months! This first year of yours is flying by, and we are having so much fun! You are changing to fast and each day seems like it brings something new. You have learned and grown so much in this past month I don't even know where to start. You are now so quick with army crawling, we can't even turn away for one second.
You love to chase Sassy (aka, your sister) all around the house. Any time she is near you, you have to get to her as quick as possible. She doesn't usually wait around for you to catch her, but you try as hard as you can. You are also enjoying your new freedom of exploring the whole house. If I sit you in the living room and I walk into the kitchen, usually within a minute or so I see you turning the corner to come and see me. Or if I don't pay attention you crawl to the TV cabinet and try to open it, or find one of Sassy's toys to chew on, or find your caddy with diapers in it and chew on them. Time to start baby proofing!
When I get ready in the morning I sit you in our room and pretty quickly after that I feel little hands tickling my toes and tugging at my pants. You can move so quick and you are determined to get where ever you want to go. We love to see how excited you are about moving and exploring, you are definitely a boy and you love to tinker. You are also beginning to pull yourself up to a stand. You did it for the first time yesterday when your Grammy was here watching you. I was on the phone with her and she screamed for excitement because you held on to the couch and pulled yourself up to see Sassy. I am so sad I didn't get to see it, but I know you will start to do it more and more. It is also getting so hard to change your diapers now because you know that you can escape. I have to distract you with a toy in order to get a clean diaper on you. Sometimes I end up chasing your little nakey buns around the room just to get that darn diaper back on. You love your play time so much, and you are not a big fan of being held when you want to play. If you want on the floor you will throw yourself in that direction and make sure we know that you want down. Toys are so fun to you and you love the ones that play music. You are getting VERY vocal, especially when you play with the toys that make noise. It sometimes sounds like you are singing to the music, adorable!
Just a few days ago you started making funny faces on purpose. You were in your high chair and you squinted up your face and your Dad and I just started cracking up. You knew how funny you were being and you did it a few more times. What a funny little personality you are developing.
| I found you sleeping like this during a nap, so adorable! |
Speaking of high chair, you are in that thing a lot more now and you love to eat! We feed you 3-4 times a day, and you love your food. There are a few foods that still make you gag, but generally you will eat almost anything we give you. You tried broccoli a week ago, and you LOVED it, definitely opposite of your Mom. I am glad you love your vegetables, I hope this continues as you get older.
As far as nursing goes, well you have started to taper off quite a bit. This makes me sad because I love that special time I spend with you, however I am thankful we are down to morning and night feedings, and only 2 during the day because now that you have teeth, nursing has been different. By different, I mean painful! My left side is currently healing from the latest bite, and I am definitely not liking the pain! It didn't help that you got in 4 teeth this month, 4!!! That brings the teeth count to 6; 2 on the bottom and 4 on top. You have the cutest grin and we love it! Other than drooling and sleeping really well you have no other symptoms of teething which makes our lives easy. You are just so easy going with everything, we love it!
On a more fun subject...you are such a blast. We love to play with you, laugh with you, and show you off to all our friends and family. You are such a handsome boy, and we love to hear people say how adorable your big blue eyes and red hair are. We are so proud to be your parents and we love you to pieces.
Thanks for being such a blast and we love and adore everything about you! We can't wait to see what month 9 brings!

He is so so so cute! Wow, standing! That's amazing! It looks like he is so strong! Bella is still army crawling but not quite with the proficiency that it seems Camden is doing it and definitely not pulling up to standing yet! She does seem like she is getting very interested in it though! He is such a big boy,so handsome! I love how close in age they are, it makes it so fun to read when you post!
