5 Months

Camden, you can not possibly be 5 months old already!! I feel like I just wrote you a 4 month old letter 2 days ago, and apparently it has already been a month! You are becoming more like a big kid everyday and your personality is totally coming through. You are still such an easy going baby, you just go with the flow, and you are rarely upset about anything. You have started becoming very consistent with your schedule. You sleep 10-11 hours a night, wake up for about 2 hours in the morning, then go back down for a nap which will last anywhere from an hour to 2 and a half hours, depending on how long you feel like sleeping. Your eating schedule is still every 3 hours approximately. Sometimes you decide you want to eat sooner, and that is fine with me! I feed you basically whenever you want, and I am ok with that because you let me sleep at night, so it is a fair trade. You have been teething like crazy, and you now have 2 teeth totally in on the bottom. They are the cutest. I love to see you smile and see your adorable teeth poking through. The only non cute thing about those teeth is how sharp they are, like when you bite me when you are nursing....not ok!

You are also such a Daddy's boy. If you are nursing and hear your Dad, you instantly stop and look for him. You just love and adore your Dad, you love to watch him and give him huge smiles when he talks to you. He was the first person to get you to laugh, and it was adorable. He sings to you, throws you around, and loves on you. I can't wait until you are old enough to play with him, you two will be best friends.

This month you have still been trying to roll completely over, but you haven't made it yet...you are very close! You can sit in your own for about 30 seconds, and you love it. If we don't make you sit, you would prefer to stand. We can get you to stand on your own when you hold on to something, I can't believe you can already do that. You are such a strong little boy, and it is so impressive.

We also took you on your first vacation to San Diego for a whole week. You did so well. You slept in our room in your pack n play. You had to take a few nights to figure out your sleeping (since you slept the entire drive there) but once you realized it was just like sleeping at home you had it figured out. The weather was cold, so it was fun to keep you all wrapped up and warm in blankets anytime we took you outside. You loved the beach, Dad put your feet in the water for the first time, and we made you a bed in the sand out of towels and blankets so you could just hang out and be a beach bum under the umbrellas. We took you on a few bike rides up and down the boardwalk in a bike trailer. You looked so tiny in it, but you loved to ride. You fell asleep every time, and people passing by us would see how cute you were in there and always say something about your cuteness.

Camden, we love you so much. Dad and I pray for you everyday and we thank God for blessing us with such a healthy and easy going baby. We couldn't have prayed for anything better. We are excited to see what we get to experience with you this month!!

Love,

Mom & Dad
