Lots of stuff!

I knew this summer was going to be a busy one. I don't even know how we do all of it. To start, a few weeks ago our good friends Lori and Caleb had their first baby girl Mikayla. I felt so blessed that Lori wanted me to take pictures to capture the emotions of seeing their little blessing for the first time. She had a very quick labor so we only had to wait around for a few hours before it was time for Mikayla to come! Because she was born nearly 5 weeks early, the doctor decided he wanted no one extra in the room except the Grandmas and the Daddy. So I didn't get to see her actually be born (which I am so anxious to actually see a baby be born, besides my own, so if anyone wants to invite me into their labor and delivery room, I would be thrilled) but I got to be in the room just minutes after and catch some pictures of her getting all cleaned up and ready to be placed in her Mama's arms.

She was so tiny, but perfect and beautiful.

We have already discussed setting her and Camden up as future husband and wife! It is all in good fun, but hey it could happen, look at Wes and I!!

In other family news:

Camden loves to sit in his Bumbo and watch Baby Einstein. When I say love, I mean his attention span is about 5-10 minutes, but it is still so cute to see him sitting there watching TV. He does get very distracted if I walk by, or even Sassy. He immediately forgets he was watching anything and stares at us. It is so adorable.

We, I came up with this great idea for our loft. It was being used as an office, but neither of us use it much. Wesley had a huge desk in there that was way bigger than he needed. We decided to make better use of our space, and since my parents bought us a new piece of furniture for storage, we decided to change things up a bit. We want this room to be a place where Camden can put all his toys and have room to play. So we took out Wesley's huge desk, moved in a smaller desk that was in our room, and we rearranged. I of course forgot to take a before picture, but here is the after.

We I also came up with the idea to paint Camden's bathroom. Before it was a terra cotta redish/pink color. It was nice, but not for a boy bathroom. So we Wes repainted the bathroom in a gray, and we put up our old shower curtain that was a wedding gift. I love this shower curtain, so I was excited to get to use it again. The bathroom turned out beautiful, this picture doesn't show the colors as accurate as in person, but I am sure you can get the feel for it.
