Sorry my blog has been slacking, we have been very busy around here and I can barely find the time to sit down and relax. Wesley is officially done with his first year of medical school. It is so nice to have him home much more often. We are going to soak up all the time together we can this summer, because it is his last summer off. Once he starts back to school in the fall, he has a full year of classes at Midwestern, then he will begin 2 years of clinicals in hospitals and Dr. offices...then he will be done!! If you think of it, pray for us and the decisions we may have to make about the clinicals. There are only so many clinical positions here in Arizona, so out of his entire class, only about 55% will be staying in Arizona, the rest of the positions are in Chicago or California. As much fun as it would be to move to Chicago or California, we just don't know how we would make it all work. We have a new baby, we own our home, and financially we don't know how it would work if we had to move. But we know the Lord has a plan for us, and if he decides we have to move, then we would be stepping out in faith and we know that our Lord would take care of us where ever we would go. That is not for another year, so we won't dwell on the idea to much right now! But we will keep you posted for sure.
Since Wesley finished school a week ago, we have done some fun things that we don't normally get to do. We went out to breakfast on Saturday, went to a wedding Saturday night, had a Sun's party at our home last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning we worked on our front yard, tore out a tree and some ugly bushes then planted some new stuff...on Tuesday evening we had a end of the year BBQ at our home with all of Wesley's close friends from school and their families...we have gone swimming twice, one time with Camden, the other time he just watched us from his stroller. Whew I feel like this paragraph is very long winded!
Yesterday, Wesley started working for my Dad again...the same thing he did before he started school. He will work there all summer to help us save as much as we can to help me be able to stay home as long as possible. Speaking of staying home...as of yesterday my Dad hired me to work from home updating and revamping our company web site. I will be working a few hours a week to get the web site current, and I will be making enough to keep our insurance, plus bring home a little extra income to help with the bills. This is such a blessing to us, and an answer to our prayers. I will get to stay home with Camden and still be able to pay our bills! Thank you to any of you who have been praying for us, we are so thankful for those prayers.
We are going to continue being busy throughout this summer, but we are excited and ready for it. We have parties, graduations, vacations, and lots of fun things in between. Look forward to many more blogs and pictures!
And here is a quick Camden update...
- He sleeps full nights! Whether we put him to bed at 8:30 or 10, he will always wake up between 5:30 and 6. We are trying our best to put him to bed early so we can still have time together before we go to bed. We are so glad he is such a good sleeper!
- He loves showers with his Dad, but recently we put him back in his little tub, and he loved just hanging out in the water. He gives us huge smiles the entire bath time. We think he is going to love water, and we look forward to having him in the pool a lot this summer.
- He is very near to 17 lbs according to our scale. We have his 4 month appointment in 2 weeks, so we will get a completely accurate weight then. He is very big, and we love all his chunk.
- He smiles and talks ALL the time. He looks like he wants to blurt out a sentence sometimes, but all that comes out is gooo and gaaaaa....and sometimes Mom! He says Mom pretty often but he doesn't even know it.
- He is getting close to rolling over from his back to his tummy...he usually just ends up on his side, but pretty soon I think he will make it all the way.
- Most his clothes are 6-9 month now, and he even wore a 12 month old shirt the other night. I can't believe how fast he is growing.
- We love all the new things he is doing, and we look forward to many more very soon. In a few weeks we are going to start him on rice cereal, I have a feeling he is going to love eating...but we will see!
