This is Camden every morning, happy as a clam! I was folding laundry and he was talking away. How can you not just adore these faces he was making? Today was Camden's 2 month check up with the pediatrician. He is 13 lbs. 13 oz (90th %) and is 23-1/4 inches long (55th %). He is a very healthy boy! We asked our pediatrician many questions (as usual), such as...is it ok that Camden poops every few days? (he went 4 days this week without any poo) Apparently that is totally normal, he said at this stage, his body is absorbing so many of the nutrients from the breast milk he is eating, that he rarely has any waste...that is obvious, look how the boy is growing! So now I feel better and I don't have to keep praying for poop on a daily basis...I guess I can stop that! :)
Camden also had to get his vaccinations...yes, we do vaccinate our baby! If you want to know why, ask Wes, he is an advocate for actually getting babies vaccinated, a smart man (aka, med student) I married! Cam did very well with his vaccines. We had to hold him down, Wes held his little legs where the shots went in, and I snuggled in by his face so I didn't have to see the shots. I don't mind getting shots myself, I just can't watch them go in, so I of course couldn't watch his go in either. He cried pretty hard (the kind where his face turns red) with each shot, he had to get 3, but he recovered very quickly after it was all done. Wesley snuggled him for the rest of the time we were there, until we had to load him in the car. He is such a good Daddy! When we got home he was back to his happy self. He was talking away while we were on speaker phone with his Nana, updating her on his appointment, so she was able to hear his goos and gaaas. Now, after a good feeding, he is sleeping on my chest, ahhh this is Heaven!! We are praying he doesn't react to bad to the shots, we have tylenol on hand just in case!
Well that is all for now...we are excited it is the weekend, and excited to have daddy home with us all weekend. We are so proud of our little man, growing and changing on a daily basis...I promise to keep you posted on his weight gain, and new milestones that we hit...and maybe a few more talks about his poop, we'll see!
