Date Night

Getting ready to leave

Saying goodbye was harder than I thought

Loving our time together

Last night Wesley and I decided it was time for our first date night since having Camden. We had a gift card we received for Christmas for North at Kierland, so we decided to use that. It was a blast! My mom and dad came over to our house to watch Cam while we were out. They were of course thrilled to spend the evening with their first Grandbaby. Wes and I were also thrilled to have some one on one time together. We started the night ordering off the happy hour menu, which meant a Sangria for me and a Shiraz for him. We ordered 3 appetizers (half price, you would have ordered 3 too) and 2 entrees. Let me tell you, nursing burns so many calories you feel like you can never eat enough food, so dinner just made my night because the food never stopped coming! We sat outside and the weather was perfect. It was wonderful to be with my husband, it felt like we were dating all over again. We spent the first few minutes at our table just in prayer. I love that we pray together, even when we are out in a restaurant. After our prayer we just talked, mostly about Camden, but also just about anything and everything. Wesley and I are always goofy together, so of course after drinking my light weight Sangria, I became even more goofy. After being silly together for the entire dinner, we struck up a conversation with some ladies next to us, they had a 4 year old little boy with them and we said how cute he was. They said we could borrow him anytime! It was so fun for the first time to say, oh well we actually have a 6 week old little boy at home, and this is our first date night out away from him. They congratulated us and said that when they saw us sitting at dinner they thought we were newleyweds! I love that we still look just as in love to those around us as we did when we first got married nearly 3 years ago. Although if you ask us, we have fallen more in love with each other each day, so our love has grown immensly in 3 years.

After dinner we walked around Kierland (something we have done since we dated) and then of course we went and got some Cold Stone. By the end of the night, our bellies were totally full, and we were ready to head home to Camden. During our date I attempted to text my mom multiple times and Wesley would not let me. He said, Cam is perfectly fine, if there was a problem you know they would have called. He was right, and I am so glad he convinced me to not check in every 5 minutes like every first time mom wants to do. It really helped me to just enjoy the alone time I had with my husband.

Anyways, we really enjoyed our date night, as well as the rest of our evening! We had our 6 week check up yesterday at the doctor, so you know what that means ;)
OK! TMI TMI!
