4 Months!

No bare belly pic this week, I have a little rash from being so itchy. I am thinking it is a little virus, hoping it goes away soon. And, this picture was taken in our baby room, it is a sneak peek, we will show you more later!

We are now 4 months pregnant, and getting really excited. In just 3 weeks from today we get to find out the sex of our little baby. October 6th is the official date to find out. I can not believe how soon we will know, it is going to make everything feel so much more real.

Ok, so I now have about 200 friends who are also pregnant!! Haha, so many girls I am close to are getting pregnant, and I couldn't be more excited for all of them. Our little pumpkin is going to have so many play dates, and I adore each and every one of the moms, so we are in for a good time. For all of you newly pregnant girls and those who are planning on getting pregnant soon, here are a few things I didn't know or realize when I became pregnant.

First off, be careful when you hear comments from people, and don't let it affect how you feel. You have to make sure to brush off some things people tell you, or else you will worry yourself to death. I am such a tiny, non pregnant woman, so when I got pregnant, everyone kept saying how tiny I am, and how they were wayyyy bigger at this stage of pregnancy. Well I of course began to worry that I am not the right size, so I had to ask my doctor. She of course told me that I am the perfect size, and I shouldn't worry about other people. Every one has a different experience with pregnancy, so don't worry if you don't have certain symptoms, or if you have more symptoms than other people that you know! You are the momma, and you know your body. Your instincts usually will tell you things are going ok!

Second, I had no idea how expensive this pregnancy would be. And I am not talking about doctors visits, or buying tons of baby stuff. (I know that will come, and that will also be expensive) I am talking about the cravings and the clothes. Not only are the cravings hilarious, sometimes irritating, and sometimes gross...but they are expensive. I never crave something that we already have at home, no, that would be to easy. I crave a dozen hot wings from our favorite pizza place, or a venti Starbucks, or...my favorite, Chipotle. It is not that these things are expensive on their own, but when you want them all the time, or you choose that over a nice homemade dinner, yes, it gets very expensive! Then, there is that sweet little baby bump that begins to grow. So your clothes get tight, and you don't want to wear them. But you still have to get dressed everyday! So you buy the Bella Band, then you decide you might as well get a few pairs of maternity jeans, then it is to hot for jeans, so you have to go find dresses, ahh so on and so forth. Thankfully the styles right now are pretty loose and flowy, so you can find a ton of stuff that is not maternity, but feels like it. Which means we can also shop in the sale section and buy those shirts that you always love, but before you got pregnant you would try it on and say, geez this shirt makes me look pregnant! Well now, you are!! So go on and buy that $4 clearance shirt that no one else wants. :)

Third thing is the one that everyone warns you about, but you have no idea until you experience it for the first time. Emotions! Tears! Crying for no reason! They are all a part of pregnancy, and so hard to explain, but any pregnant woman can tell you, sometimes, a good cry is all we need. So cry it out, and then look back and laugh. I crack up when I think of all the reasons I have cried since being pregnant, and I feel sorry for my dear husband for having to deal with me. But, I know he loves it, and he loves this baby and me (his lovely wife) so much that he will put up with all the tears, even if it is only about my clothes and what to eat!

And one more thing... Babycenter.com is my favorite website to read up on anything about pregnancy. It is great. Also, my 2 obsessions (thanks to Kelly) are babysteals.com and mamabargains.com. All you have to do is go on to those websites, and you will be hooked. I already bought a nursing cover (aka, hooter hider, haha) from babysteals for half the regular retail price. They post a new item everyday, and as soon as we find out what we are having I am sure I will be buying stuff left and right.

Ok, I lied, I have one more. This is a secret I found out, and I am super excited. Bed Bath and Beyond is opening a baby store called Buy Buy Baby! It opens in a few weeks, and it is going to be great! We are planning on registering there instead of Babies R Us. (Actually I already started our registry online) They have all the same stuff, but with the best policies that you get with Bed Bath & Beyond. They take the BB&B 20% off coupons, and they have the best return policy in the whole world. What could be better when it comes to buying baby stuff? So look out for the Grand Opening. I believe there is one in Chandler that already opened, but the one is Scottsdale is coming soon. It is at Shea and the 101 in the old Linens and Things location!!

So I hope all of my friends out there love their pregnancy as much as I do. And the amazing blessing at the end will make every minute of this pregnancy worth it!

Love,
Mo

You look so beautiful! I can totally relate to the expensiveness! My hubby and I track our finances on Mint.com and it makes graphs and the "fast food" portion of the graph was HUGE, and I was really embarrassed at how many times a week (and day, LOL) I stopped and got food places! Ah! The cravings ARE ridiculous. The maternity clothes have not been so bad for me, because I had some left from last time, and I have a group of girlfriends that all pass the clothes around, so I got mine back from a friend that just had her baby, and it had been through three other moms, so there were tons more! It's good to ask moms to "borrow" maternity clothes, or see if there are any friends that are "done" and willing to donate :). I'm so glad I found your blog!
