Grayson: 5 Months

There is no way my little newborn is already 5 months. Does that make him not a newborn anymore? I don't think so. He is still a newborn to me. Maybe once he starts eating real food I can consider him a baby and not a newborn. I am just amazed at how fast time is going with my sweet baby Grayson.

This month Grayson has really changed a lot. He has the best demeanor and is such an easy going baby. I am just totally smitten with his little petite face, his wispy red hairs, his sparkling blue eyes, and his perfect ears. He really is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever laid eyes on.

Here are the things he did this month:

He started sleeping on his stomach anytime he sleeps. The boy loves his tummy and sleeps with his legs tucked under and his booty in the air. Just how Camden sleeps.

He is a decent sleeper, but not as good as Camden was. He sleeps from 8:00-3:00 or 4:00, eats, then sleeps until around 8. He takes two morning naps that last about 45 minutes, and then an afternoon nap that will be between 3-4 hours. He is pretty consistent with this schedule, but we do have our off days as well. Like 3 nights ago when he decided to be awake and wanting to play for 2 hours in the middle of the night. I guess he is still a baby!

He is still nursing full time, and will probably start eating solids sometime in the next few weeks.

He got in his first tooth!!! He was starting to chew on his hands a lot and was drooling a little bit. I didn't think his gums even looked swollen, but this morning I stuck my finger in his mouth and a sharp little tooth got me!! It is so adorable!

He is a wiggly worm and never lays still for diaper changes. 

He still loves bath time and his new favorite is sucking on his wash cloth. Mmmmmm bath water!

He loves to be held...all day long. If I never put him down he would be so happy!

He rolls both directions and prefers to play on his tummy.

He gave me his first little giggle. I had to work really hard to get a giggle out of him, and he hasn't done it since then.

He loves holding his toys now and puts all of them straight in his mouth.

He can sit on his own for 10-15 seconds. Such a champ!

Paci is still his favorite when sleeping.

He adores Camden, even when Camden smacks him in the head with legos. Oh brothers.

He loves to be outside, if he is ever fussy and we take him outside he is instantly happy.

He is a very distracted nurser now, so I usually have to sit in another room away from Camden so Grayson can focus on eating.

We are having such a blast with this adorable little 5 month old. We love every inch of him and although he is growing too fast, we are enjoying each moment.
