24 weeks, 6 months, 3ish months to go!

24 Weeks

I did it!! I took a weekly picture, only a month after my last. Not too bad!!

I am now 24 weeks, which is approximately 6 months. Which in most cases means about 3 months to go, sometimes longer. Pregnancy is really close to 10 months long, not 9 like most believe. But since Camden came early, I am thinking I might be having this little one early as well. We will see!!

I am feeling very good at this point. The only thing that is difficult right now is my hips. I have been blessed to have be given the same pregnancy hips as my Mom. That means, when we are pregnant, we walk miserably, and can not get comfortable because our hips hurt soooo bad. I have talked to my doctor about it, and seen my chiropractor. Basically the diagnosis is: You are pregnant, things hurt! Thanks...that means a few more months of being uncomfortable. But hey, I have great pregnancies so I can not complain one bit. If I walk a little stiff, its alright, at least I have a healthy baby growing inside of me. And it is fun, because when my walk looks hideous, I like to give Wes my googly eyes and ask him if he likes my new sexy walk...he always laughs and doesn't tell me it is sexy. Oh well, just wait until this baby is out, I will walk like a champ in no time!!

This pregnancy has been so wonderful, almost to the point of me sometimes forgetting I am carrying another baby. I definitely agree with everyone who says the second time around is different. I am so occupied with Cam, that I barely have time to think about little guy #2. We still love him and can not wait to meet him, I just don't spend hours each night planning his room out and all the things I did the first time around. I am also too busy sometimes to eat. I know this is horrible, but don't worry, I make sure he still gets his nutrition. I however, am not mad about being way behind in my weight gain compared to last time. With Camden I gained about 42 lbs...whale, I know! This time, I have only gained around 10 ish lbs, which is healthy for where I am at, and my doctor said from the look of things I will not be near my 42 mark like last time. Yay!
Here is the comparison to my last pregnancy.

So I am sure you are dying to see little guy's room!! Well, his room started out as a loft; it was basically an option when we bought the house to make it a room or keep it open. We loved the idea of keeping it open, because we had no idea we would still be in the house 4 years later with 2 kids. (this was of course when the market was good and people would make money on their homes). So now that we need the loft to be a room, Wes has been busy putting the final touches on making it a room. He closed in the half wall that over looked our downstairs, and he added a door. Of course, he has never done any of this before, and he assured me it was easy. Well in my mind it wasn't easy, but he make it look like cake, and did a fantastic job!

Here is a before shot:
The half wall that needed closed in.

Where the door will go.
And here is the after...for right now. I am sure Wes will hate me showing you it since it is not complete.
The wall is closed in, and he has to add just a little more texture and then he will prime the walls.
The door will be on, but he took it off to paint and to finish the texture on each side of the frame.
So there it is!! I have picked out paint colors, and we already bought some fun furniture. Wes is hoping to prime everything this weekend and hopefully build the furniture. So in the next few weeks I am sure you will see some fun changes going on in the room. I can not wait to see it complete.
