Wes and I were so blessed to have some family photos taken last week by some of our great friends. Josh and Kelley Johnson are friends of ours from our young marrieds small group at church. They are extremely talented, smart, and just really sweet people. We had such a fun time spending the evening taking pictures with them. We told them ahead of time that we wanted to find a concrete wall that we could write on with chalk, and that was really our only request for the pictures. When we arrived to DC Ranch where we took our pictures, Josh and Kelley had already found the perfect location to take the "chalk" pictures, and Kelley brought a bag of goodies for us to use: chalk, bubbles, wipes (for snotty noses), and little washcloths for soaking up drool. (Camden's drool, not Wes)
All of it was perfect! Camden did really well with the pictures. It was in the evening so we were afraid the closer we got to his bed time the more we would struggle with getting smiles out of him. That didn't seem to be the case. He loves his Mom and Dad and if one of us was talking or making some sort of noise at him then he would be smiling. The best was when we were sitting against the wall and Camden was sitting in front of us. Josh was doing all he could to get Camden to look at his camera, I told him to make silly faces and noises and Camden would for sure laugh. Well apparently Camden only likes it when Wes and I do it, because as soon as Josh made a silly noise he burst into tears. It was so cute! Sorry Josh, you really are not a scary guy, and I think Camden got over it pretty quickly.
We are so excited about these pictures and we can not wait to print some out to hang around the house. I am really bad at printing and framing pictures, but these are so good it would be crazy for me not too! If you want to see all of the pictures from our shoot, go here. If you want some fabulous pictures of your own family (they do weddings also) and you want more information, please email Josh- secondfret@gmail.com. They have a great deal right now especially if you tell them Wes and Moriah sent you!
Thanks again Josh and Kelley, you guys are the best! These pictures are so special and a perfect way to capture this stage of Camden with 2 teeth, tons of drools, and learning to sit and stand. We love all of them, and I have no idea how we will decide which ones to print!
