Bubba, you are 7 months old today! (Although I feel like you are bigger than some 1 year olds.) You are still our little man, but lately you have started to feel so old to me. I miss you being so tiny and I know I will never get that time back with you. I do look forward to you growing up, but the Mama in me is still always going to miss those nights snuggling you and having you sleep in my arms. This is the first month that I have been sad that you are growing up, it is just happening way to fast!!
Ok, enough with the sad, sappy mom stuff, lets talk about you! This month you have changed just as much, if not more that you do every month. It really is exciting to see you change right in front of our eyes. Here is the list of what you are doing now.
- You eats all kinds of food, and I enjoy making all of them for you. Here is what you have had so far: green beans, peas, spinach, squash, avocado, pears, apples, banana, mango, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, nectarines, carrots and all sorts of baby cereals. You does so well with eating now, however, you are still is not a big fan of peas or green beans so I have to mix them with something you love in order to get you to eat them.
- You have started reaching for us to hold you. When we walk by you or if someone else is holding you, you reach our for Dad or I. This is adorable, but can make things hard also. I had you at work with me today and I was trying to get stuff done, Grammy was holding you and every time you saw me you would cry and reach for me. I have always looked forward to the day when all you wanted was me, and now that it is here I am not sure if it is every thing I looked forward to. I just feel so bad when I can't actually hold you and I know how bad you want me to.
- You are so close to crawling. You can push and scoot yourself all over the place, but you still have not mastered the crawling yet.
- You can completely sit on your own, and you are very content sitting for long stretches of time.
- You love to stand and walk with us holding your hands. You are actually really good at walking and you takes some pretty big steps.
- You also fight your sleep so hard. If it is past your nap time and you are super tired, you will fight it so hard. You rub your eyes and bury your face in our chest, but you just will not let yourself go to sleep.
- You love chatting and I find you in your bed talking every morning.
- On that note, you are now saying dada all the time, but of course you have no idea you are saying it. Dad totally loves it!
- Dad bought you your first play pool and you and him spent some time swimming in it the night he brought it home.
- You still drool like crazy and your top two teeth are really close to breaking the skin. I wish they would already, I am tired of the soaking wet clothes and I am not a big fan of bibs, but they do the trick.
- You get really excited every time Dad gets home. You just love your Dad and you love to watch him walk in the door.
- You have transitioned so well with Mom going back to work. You are so good for your Grammy and you keep your schedule very consistent each day.
- You have also come to visit Mom at work on a few occasions, and I love it!!
- You are totally ticklish now, especially on your tummy. Just like your Mom.
- You love to try and roll over when I change your diaper, I have to keep you distracted with a toy.
- You LOVE to watch Sassy (aka, your sister), and when she is close enough you love to pet her, it is so cute.
- We had you dedicated at church.
- You can finally take a bottle, but still prefer nursing...that is, if you nurse. Some days you are just not in the mood to nurse and will only nurse like 2 or 3 times all day. If only my body could figure out that you are nursing less.
- You sit in the bath tub and love to play with bath toys, well if you can call a cup a toy. Why is it that everything that is not a toy and costs nothing is their favorite?
Well baby boy, your Dad and I fall more and more in love with you each day. You are so special to us and we can not imagine our life without you. Thank you for being so much fun and we love you so much. We are looking forward to what this next month may bring.

Hi
I just read all of your news and totally enjoyed all of the news about Bubba!!!! What a guy! We laughed and said Wes with red hair. We really are anxious to see all of you! I've had some weird and hideous virus and have been afraid to be with anyone but I'm climbing out of the hole now.
Love to You, G & G Sweet
