Today we had Camden's 1 month check up (yes it is actually 2 days shy of a month). He is thriving! This little boy is now 9 lbs 14 oz and 22 inches long. He has gained a good amount of weight (2 lbs and 2 oz since he was born) and is 1 inch longer than he was at his last appointment. We are so glad he is doing so well!
His next appointment we have to get him his shots :( It will not be fun for me to watch him get them, but they are what is best for him...in our opinion.
He is also doing really well at night. Last night we went to bed at 11, he woke up at 3 and ate, then he didn't wake up again until around 6. So that technically means he only wakes up 1 time a night, however after his 6 am feeding, I do go back to sleep. This morning after I fed him at 6, then Wesley decided to make a run to Home Depot and he took Cam with him. This means I got to sleep without any distractions for another 2 and a half hours! Sooooo nice. I woke up feeling so refreshed today. On our way to the doctor we picked up a large iced coffee, so right now I feel so awake I could hike a mountain! If we stay on track with feeding him every 3 hours, our doctor says by 6-8 weeks he should be able to skip one feeding at night, and sleep about 6 hours straight. That would be so awesome! So we are working towards that...we would appreciate your prayers in this area :)
We are having the time of our lives with this little boy. Each day I wake up and can not believe he is ours. He is so beautiful, so healthy, and such a little miracle. I can not even imagine our lives without our little boy! We are so thankful for the blessing he is to us!
