Wow blogging has become pretty hard for me since I can barely put our son down long enough to type one up. I guess that is a good problem to have, I just love snuggling him so much. Today we barely made it out the door to our first doctors appointment. Wesley has 5 finals this coming week, so he was not able to skip out on school to come with us. Thankfully I have an amazing mom who has helped us out so much, so she was my support to the doctor today. I barely finished nursing him when it was time to go, so I officially had the mom hair today as I tossed it into a clip, still wet from my shower, and ran out the door. Our pediatrician office is 2 minutes from home, so we made it just in time. The appointment went very well! Camden is such a trooper. We had to undress him to weigh him, measure him, and check all his stats. He did so well! Barely a cry until they took his temperature...he hates that thermometer in his arm pit, he would scream every time they checked it in the hospital too! I am guessing he is like his mom and will probably be very ticklish under his arm pits someday.
He is still 21 inches long, and now he is 7 lbs 15 oz. Thank goodness he gained weight, he was born at 7 lbs 12 oz, and a few days after he had lost quite a bit and was 7 lbs 1 oz. Our little piglet is a big eater, so he gained all the way back to his birth weight, plus a few extra ounces. The doctor was very impressed. His heart and lungs sounded great, and we are about a day or two away from the umbilical cord to fall off.
I was so glad he had a good report at the doctor. Being a first time mommy you never know if the things you are doing are right, and you want to do what is best for your baby. To see him progress and be a healthy boy just made my day. I love him to pieces and we are so thankful the Lord has blessed us with such a joyful little one.

After having his armpit tickled with a thermometer. Needing some good old mommy comfort.

Measuring his long body. He is a big boy!

Checking his weight. I was holding my breath, praying he had gained....he did!

Proud mommy after seeing his weight gain :)
