December...

Wow this month has been a crazy one, and we are about halfway through! Wesley and I have been so busy with Christmas parties, childbirth classes, family functions, and more parties. Last night was our first night that we were able to just stay home in over a week. Let me tell you, it was very nice. We were able to finish laundry, dishes, pay some bills, Wesley vacuumed and mopped for me (apparently my body won't let me do that anymore, it causes my hips to hurt for days after) and then we just enjoyed the night at home with our sparkling Christmas tree.

So here are a few other updates from the week:
  • My last doctor appointment went very well, they tested for gestational diabetes (standard procedure for all mamas) and I haven't heard anything back from them, so I am guessing that all is well.
  • We had a great time last weekend with my family, picking out a tree and decorating it while drinking hot chocolate and listening to some fab Christmas music.
  • The shower invites have officially been sent out, and they are ADORABLE! Thanks Grandma Bren!
  • We love our young marrieds "family" group, and had a great time with them last weekend...we can't wait to finally have our little one here to join in with all the kiddos!
  • We also love our other young marrieds group, and we had an amazing dinner and gift exchange with them last week.
  • Wesley and I decided we are super immature after we got the giggles during our childbirth class. We were supposed to be practicing our breathing technique while the instructor read through a relaxation exercise. I couldn't hold in my laughter and let out a quick little sniffle and Wesley obviously heard and felt me do this, so then he did it, and we both thought we were going to loose it. As each of the other couples relaxed, Wesley and I were tensed up trying to hold in the laughter and I tried not to pee my pants. Haha it was hillarious when we left, we laughed for about 5 minutes in the car as we drove away. We feel bad for getting the giggles at the worst possible time, but how funny is it that we did! I told Wes I feel bad for Camden, he is not going to know what to do with his immature parents, and Wesley said, no I am pretty sure he was laughing with us!
  • Today we have 3 more Christmas parties...work, Grandmas, and church!
  • I have a ton more Christmas shopping to do, but have no energy right now to do it!
  • I am loving our baby boy more and more with each passing day, and I dream of the day I can finally hold him in my arms!
I am so thankful for this Christmas season, and all the blessings we have, even with all of the struggles this year has had for all of our families. We are blessed to have our health, our family, our home, our Camden, and our relationship with the Lord. He will never let us down, and we know that he has an amazing plan for us. We are looking forward to 2010 and what the year may bring.
