Little Squirmy

We had our appointment today. Everything was great. Our little one was a bit stubborn when we tried to hear its heartbeat on the Doppler, so we had to take another sonogram instead (darn, we had to watch our baby on the screen)

As soon as we saw our baby appear on the screen we instantly saw the little heartbeat, strong and fast. So that was good, and reassuring. We continued to watch and our baby was moving around like crazy. It was jumping, throwing its hands up, and of course, right when Wes looked away it did a little backflip and landed so gently with a few little bounces right back to where it started. (Looks like we may have a gymnast on our hands, just like Momma!) Watching our little miracle was soooo incredible. I was crying for most of it, and giggling for just about all of it. It is just way to cute. Our midwife said that our baby has really long legs. This made me crack up, because I am only 5'1" and I have really short legs! So this little one is going to be tall like his/her daddy! (So maybe not a gymnast) The best part was that she kept repeating how long the legs looked, and I just loved it, I have never even heard the words "long legs" before while someone is looking at me, so I totally enjoyed it. Towards the end Wes pulled out his phone and shot this short video. Of course right when he started filming, our peanut stopped moving. Connie (our Midwife) pushed on my tummy a few times and he/she started up again, but sorry, we didn't catch the backflip on screen. But you can see this active little one jump and push itself off the side with its legs a few times.

I am still in complete awe that after just 11 weeks our baby has every limb and can use all of them. I still can not feel any of these movements, which is even more crazy to me! If our baby keeps up with all these kicks and flips maybe I will feel him/her sooner than expected. Thats what I am hoping for, I can't wait to feel the flutters!!

Anyways, enjoy the video. I have watched it 20 times already. Oh, and we did get a great new picture but I can not scan it in until I go to work on Monday.

Love,
Active little peanut's Mommy

How exciting and fun!!! I remember seeing Delaney move around on the screen and not being able to feel her. I think it was around 20 or 21 weeks (I have it written down) that I finally started to feel movement. The best is when you can see your belly move from the movement of the baby!!! I loved that. So did Mark because he could feel it from the outside.

I am lovin all your pictures and videos!!!
