Tis' the season

We are almost done with all of Camden's firsts this year. Next up, his first birthday! Wow!!

Before we jump ahead to that, I want to tell you all about his first Christmas. This year was by far our favorite year to celebrate Christmas. Having Camden this year just made everything that much more fun. He brings so much fun and joy to our lives, and this Christmas was no exception. We celebrated with Wesley's family on Christmas Eve and then my family on Christmas Day. Let's just say that Camden is spoiled blessed ;)

There is definitely a benefit to being the first and only Grandbaby on both sides of the family. We are set with toys, clothes, shoes, and books for a while.

It was actually so much more fun to help open his gifts than to open my own. It is funny how much your life changes with kids. I really do get very excited when he receives new toys and items that he needs.

Camden was such a trooper over the week long celebration. With late bedtimes, sleeping at other people's houses, and tagging along to many different restaurants, he did amazing. We repeatedly said how easy going he is, and how we are so blessed to have such a well behaved son.

After spending some wonderful family time together, we were so blessed to celebrate my birthday 2 days after Christmas. We had dinner with our families the day before my actual birthday. It was great. My Mom bought me the pair of boots I was dying to have :) I love them!
The next day, on my actual birthday, Wesley took me out to dinner. We had so much fun! We definitely enjoy our alone time together, and soaked up every minute. We had a delicious dinner at Brio, and yummy desserts after. Just being with my husband was exactly what I wanted for my birthday, but he did manage to sneak me a gift as well. He got me the perfume I wanted...the same one I blogged about here.

To finish off the week, my dear friend Briana planned a little get together with some friends for my birthday. We went out for sushi, and we had a blast. We had to wait almost an hour and a half to get a table (even though we did a call ahead) but we didn't really mind. We had so much fun talking with everyone and just enjoying a night out with friends without the kiddos.

Well today is the official last day of Wesley's break, so I am off to enjoy some time with him. We really enjoyed this Christmas season and we are very excited for what's in store for this new year.
