Mother's Day
My first Mother's Day was wonderful! We woke up in the morning and snuggled in bed as a family. Then Wesley gave me my Mother's Day gift, which was the new Michael Buble CD ( I totally hinted to him that was what I wanted), a Toblerone candy bar (my fav) and pop its! Haha I think the pop its were more for him, he found them in the store and thought, Hey, why not? We then got all ready for church and got to church about 10 minutes late...what's new? I was nursing, so I couldn't just run out the door :)
During church, Wesley told me that if Camden started to whine or cry, he would take him out for me so I could enjoy the Mother's Day service. I was pretty excited about that. Well Cam was so pleasant for much of the service. However, Wesley was still wanting to take Camden out of his carrier...I said, Babe, you shouldn't do that, he will wake up and fuss. Wesley was up to something, but I had no idea. He told me that Camden's diaper was VERY wet, and it was necessary to take him out and change him. So I just said, ok, whatever you want to do, I am going to stay and enjoy the service. So he left, then came back a little while later. I didn't think anything of it.
After church we went to Ajo Al's with our families. We sat down to eat and Wesley left to go wash his hands. When he came back he was carrying a large bouquet in a vase! I couldn't believe it! I was so confused...do they give those away in the men's restroom?! ;) He wouldn't tell me how he got them, but I finally figured it out. When he left church to "change" Cam, he really loaded him in the car and ran to the store. I didn't even notice him being gone for very long. He said he ran! He said that was the only way he could figure out how to get me flowers without me knowing. So sweet, and sooo Wes!
After lunch we went to Wesley's parents house with both of our families. We celebrated with a few gifts for all the Mama's and we also celebrated Wesley's birthday with everyone. We had such a great time!
I completely enjoyed my first Mother's Day. I am so blessed to have a son, and I am so thankful we have him. I look forward to many more Mother's Days' with our children!

Hi! I have to tell you I have been following your blog as well! :-) So funny! I was on bedrest for a bit (30 or so weeks until the end) and I began "stalking" everyone's blogs that I could find and saw that you delivered your adorable son so close to when Bella was born! We delivered at Scottsdale Shea...did you guys deliver there? I love looking at your blog because of how close they are in age (but maybe not size haha....Bella is definitely on the small side) You have such an adorable little handsom man! I see that you have Stephanie Fay's blog also, she is a good friend of mine, did you go to SCA at some point? So funny that we have both been following each other's blogs :-)
